Cana: Marseille is capable of final

Marseille captain Lorïk Cana says OM are good enough to reach the Uefa Cup final. Cana, the Albanian international, said: “When we came into this competition we set ourselves the goal of reaching the final. We’re capable of that but it won’t be easy against Shakhtar as they beat Barcelona this season.

“If we get through that then we’ve got PSG, who we know well of course, or Dynamo Kiev who are ahead of Shakhtar in the Ukrainian championship.”

Meanwhile coach Erik Gerets had to fend off questions linking him with the vacant position at the helm of the Belgian national team. “It’s not the time to talk about that. I’ve always said that to coach one’s country is an honour”.
