Canada and Panama to meet on neutral ground

The international friendly football match between Canada and Panama will now be played on neutral ground.

Originally planned for Panama City on 6 June the match has been rescheduled for 4 June in Fort Lauderdale in Florida in the United States.

Canada has a busy schedule in the next two months. On 31 May they meet Brazil in a friendly. After their friendly against Panama they open their World Cup 2010 qualifying quest with a qualifier against St. Vincent and the Grenadines on 15 June and the return fixture in Montreal five days later on 20 June.

Canada has to win this two – match series to qualify for the next qualifying stage which commences in August.
