Candreva set for permanent Lazio stay

Lazio have reached an agreement to purchase the remaining half of Antonio Candreva’s contract from Udinese, Il Corriere dello Sport has learned.

The highly rated midfielder has developed into a key player at Stadio Olimpico since arriving from Udinese, initially on loan and then on co-ownership deal.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Lazio have agreed to purchase the remaining 50% of the midfielder’s contract for a fee of €8 million from league rivals Udinese.

Having also tied down star striker Miroslav Klose to a new contract, the Biancocelesti finally seem to be moving in the right direction and there are no doubts Antonio Candreva will be integral to any future success.

The 27-year-old is enjoying the best season in his career on personal level, and having managed 12 goals and 6 assists in 35 Serie A matches this term, Candreva is almost certain to make Cesare Prandelli’s final squad for the 2014 World Cup.
