Argentina travelled to Uruguay for a derby World Cup qualifier in Montevideo this week but the match resulted in a somewhat underwhelming goalless draw.
Despite the lack of goals, the match produced plenty of exciting moments whereas it was particularly interesting to see Leo Messi in action as the Barcelona super star gave plenty of problems to Uruguay players.
The hosts struggled to contain the flamboyant dynamo and were forced to resort to all means possible to stop him from scoring.
Alvaro Gonzales was booked for this harsh tackle on the Argentina forward…
…whereas another interesting scene occurred later on in the match when Uruguay players had to tore Messi’s shirt apart in order to bring him down and stop his terrible run.
