Caoimhin Kelleher saves Kylian Mbappe penalty as Liverpool finally break Real Madrid curse (Video)

Ahead of their meeting at Anfield on Tuesday, Liverpool lost seven and drew one of their last eight encounters against Real Madrid, including two Champions League final defeats. But on that evening, the Merseysiders finally broke the curse, with Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo on target.

The best chance Real had to score was a penalty they were awarded after Andy Robertson committed a foul on Lucas Vazquez inside the box. Kylian Mbappe took the ball and placed in on the spot, but Caoimhin Kelleher made another strong point in his bid to become a regular first-choice goalkeeper.
