Spanish international Joan Capdevila has ruled out leaving Villarreal at the end of the season.
The 32-year-old has revealed that he has agreed a new contract with Spanish side Villarreal.
Capdevila’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season and the defender has been linked with a Bosman move to Liverpool.
“It is almost done,” he told Radio Marca.
“The club has kept its word, and I have kept mine, and all that is missing is my signature.”
Capdevila has become a key player at Villarreal since joining the club from Deportivo La Coruna in 2007.
