Portuguese newspaper A Bola has learned that Manchester City are keeping tabs on Gil Vicente defender Pericles Santos Pereira, more commonly known as Pecks.
The 20-year-old has only made a handful of appearances for the Portuguese side, but he has managed to catch the eye of Manchester City scouts.
The English club have a collaboration agreement in place with Gil Vicente and they continue to monitor talented players plying their trade at Estadio Cidade de Barcelos.
Pecks joined the club in 2011 from Batuque and has since made a total of 8 Primeira Liga appearances for Roosters.
The central defender has yet to establish himself as a first team regular, but he has already debuted for the Cape Verde national team.
Pecks was in the country’s Africa Cup of Nations squad earlier this tear, but failed to feature at the tournament finals as Cape Verde impressed on their first ever appearance by reaching the quarter-finals.
