As reported by Sky Italia, former Juventus & England manager Fabio Capello has stated that he believes Gonzalo Higuain will move to Chelsea this summer in the wake of Cristiano Ronaldo’s switch to the Italian champions. Ronaldo’s transfer, believed to be worth around £99 million, was always going to lead to various changes being made at the club in order to accommodate him – with the departure of Argentine forward Higuain being something that has been a hot topic amongst fans in the country.
Capello spoke about how Maurizio Sarri will be waiting for him ‘with open arms’ upon his arrival in London, with Higuain having spent the last two years with The Old Lady following his big move over from Napoli. Higuain has never played in the Premier League before throughout the course of his career, although given that Ronaldo will be the main man at Juventus now, he’ll have to look elsewhere if he still wants to have guaranteed playing time.
