Former England manager Fabio Capello has moved to reject speculations linking him with a return to Italian Serie A.
The Italian is a free agent since resigning from the England post in February and he has been linked with numerous Serie A clubs.
The experienced coach admits that while he would prefer another national team job, he is open to club offers as well.
“It is gratifying to work for a national team, but I won’t rule out the possibility of training a club side again, even if right now I prefer to enjoy my vacation,” Capello said in an interview with Italian newspaper La Stampa.
Nevertheless, former Roma, Juventus and Milan boss has dismissed speculations linking him with a coaching job in Serie A.
“However, I can 100 per cent rule out a return to the bench in Italy.”
After the successful Euro 2012 qualifying campaign, Capello was expected to lead England in Poland and Ukraine, but he shocked everyone by resigning from the post just few months before the final tournament.
The Italian walked away from the post when the national team chiefs decided to strip John Terry of the captain’s armband.
