Capello to replace Benitez at Inter
Inter are lining up a move for England manager Fabio Capello as Rafa Benitez nears the exit door following the dismal run of results.
Inter’s defeat to Chievo extended their winless run to five games, leaving the Neroazzurri nine points adrift of leaders Milan, with Rafa Benitez given just one game to save his job.
The Spaniard will be sacked if he fails to mastermind a victory over Twente in the Champions League, and the club chiefs have already made inquires about Fabio Capello.
The England boss was heavily linked to Inter last summer but he instead opted to extend his contract with the FA, although a lot has changed since.
Capello lost his popularity among the English fans, as well as losing the respect of the Premiership managers, so the Inter job could serve as a perfect escape for the former Milan coach.

Roy Hodgson on a French scouting mission
Roy Hodgson has singled out Lille forward Gervinho as the number one target in January as he looks to add more quality to Liverpool’s front line.
The Liverpool boss visited France last weekend as he attended the game between Auxerre and Rennes, scouting potential targets, and he decided to spend another Sunday watching Ligue 1 games.
Hodgson and Liverpool scout Laurent Viaud watched Gervinho star in Lille’s victory over Monaco, adding fuel to speculations that the Ivorian is close to making a switch to Anfield.
When asked about the purpose of his visit, Hodgson said that Gervinho was not the only good player on the pitch.
It seems the Liverpool boss is happy with what he has seen in France, so at least one player from Ligue 1 is expected at Anfield in January.

Redknapp prepares sensational double swoop in January
Harry Redknapp is hoping to bring Karim Benzema in January as he looks to build a squad capable of challenging for the Premiership title.
The Tottenham boss will have money to spend in January and he hopes to bring a couple of players in January, with Karim Benzema and Scott Parker his top targets.
Before making a move for either of the players, the boss is looking to sell Robbie Keane, Niko Kranjcar and David Bentley, as the team need to conform to the Premier League’s 25-man squad rule.
Since Jose Mourinho is looking to bring another striker to the squad, Karim Benzema could be available if the price is right, but Tottenham still face an uphill task in trying to sign the French striker.
Scott Parker, on the other hand, is a more realistic target as the West Ham captain could jump at the opportunity to leave the sinking ship and join the club on the rise.
