(GSM) – England manager Fabio Capello claims he likes England and his job as national team manager. Don Fabio intends to see out his contract.

The Italian, who took over the Three Lions in January 2008, has a contract that is set to run until 2012.

Capello knows a successful showing at this summer’s World Cup would be very important for his future as England manager.

“My contract will finish in 2012,” Capello told CNN.

“I think the results of the World Cup will be very important for me and the FA. I hope I will finish my contract here.

“I like my job, I like this country and I hope the results in the future will be really, really good.”

Capello has confidence in his players and believes he can guide England to global glory.

“I have big confidence in my team,” he said.

“If all the players will be fit and all arrive physically in good condition and in a good moment we can win the World Cup. We are one of the best teams in the world.

“Sometimes you have to be lucky to beat some teams because there are refereeing mistakes, bad luck, post in, post out, this is football.”

Capello has often expressed his concern at the lack of young English talent making an impact in the Premier League, but the Italian believes that situation may change over the next few years.

“In this moment the percentage is not so big but the players are really good,” he added.

“But it will not always be the same.

“The U21s are really good: I hope that next year two or three players will be ready to play with the seniors.”
