Now with a seven-point advantage over Fulham in third spot, it has been Cardiff’s defensive resolve that has caught the most attention. As for the Brewers, Nigel Clough has been unable to improve on his sides poor form last year and once again, Burton find themselves at the heart of a relegation battle. Only avoiding the drop by a single point last year, Burton now sit 23rd in the Championship table and life in League One is looking more likely by the week. Now sat three points adrift of safety, the Brewers recent form has shown no signs of improving. Burton are on a five-match winless run and have recorded just one win in their last 13 attempts.
