Cardiff 8/13 to beat Barnsley in Tuesdays Championship clash

Competition: Championship
Market: Cardiff to beat Barnsley
Odds: 8/13 @ Bet 365

On Tuesday night, Neil Warnock’s high flying Bluebirds will welcome Barnsley to the Cardiff City Stadium as the Welsh side look to shore up their chances of securing automatic promotion come the end of the season.

For the hosts on Tuesday night, life under former QPR manager Neil Warnock could not be going more swimmingly. With their new boss signing a contract extension last week, Cardiff currently sit second in the Championship table and have all but guaranteed a playoff spot at the very least. The Bluebirds are on a four-match winning run and even more impressing is the fact the Cardiff have now not conceded a single goal in any of their last four outings.

As for Barnsley, new coach José Morais knows that he has his work cut out of he intends to extend Barnsley’s stay in England’s second tier. Although the Tykes may sit one place above the drop zone in 21st position, the Reds only hold a two-point buffer over Birmingham in 20th, failure to take anything away from the Cardiff City Stadium could see Barnsley slip back into the drop zone. With just two wins in their last 20 appearances in all competitions, Barnsley will know they need to put in a season’s best performance if they intend to snatch anything away from Cardiff.
