Cardiff agree fee for Ince

Newly promoted Cardiff City have agreed a fee with Blackpool for midfielder Tom Ince, Sky Sports understands.

The 21 year old has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs after excelling in the Championship over the last two seasons, scoring twenty-five goals in eighty league appearances.

Liverpool, who sold Ince to the Tangerines two years ago, were considering making a move back in January though their interest has waned as they have pursued other targets.

Blackpool’s failure to secure a return to the top flight meants that they were always unlikely to retain the player’s services should the big clubs come calling.

Cardiff are preparing for their first season in the top flight in over fifty years, but are yet to make any new additions despite having the financial clout to strengthen their squad.

Their current record signing is that of Michael Chopra, who they bought from Sunderland four years ago.
