Competition: Championship
Market: Cardiff City to win the title
Odds: 8/1 @ Ladbrokes

Following their relegation to the Championship this season, Cardiff City have been building a squad to get themselves back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.

The Welsh club are set to sign former Manchester United striker Federico Macheda this summer, after the Italian was released by United. Striker Javi Guerra and midfielder Guido Burgstaller have also joined already.

“These two signings are a statement of intent from a club looking to push for promotion next season,” manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said.

They ended the 2013/14 season bottom of the Premier League with 30 points.

The Bluebirds are being tipped to enjoy a good campaign in 2014/15 which they will be hoping results in promotion. Ladbrokes are giving odds of 8/1 for Cardiff to win the Championship title next season, and they will have an impressive budget in which to do so.

Prior to his arrival at Cardiff, Solskjaer enjoyed success at former club Molde, winning two titles and a domestic cup. He couldn’t keep the club up last campaign, but will be much more in his element with City likely to win more games than they lose.
