Carew happy at Aston Villa

Norwegian striker John Carew has admitted that he is happy at Aston Villa and would like to remain with the club next term.

Carew scored his 13th goal of the season against Everton a the weekend.

“I love it here, I feel it on the pitch,” he told the Daily Mirror.

“If I didn’t love it here you would see that on the pitch. I am really happy. I love the club, the fans, the staff and the group here, who are fantastic.

“I just want to continue and to do well the whole of next season – and avoid all the injuries which hindered me.

“I have scored a lot this season and if I hadn’t been out for months it could have been a lot more this season.

“I lost about 20 games, so it is a pity. But I am really satisfied with all of the goals in so few games.”
