Spanish daily Marca has learned that Carlo Ancelotti will soon be announced as the new Bayern Munich coach.
The Italian tactician has reportedly agreed a three-year deal with the Bavarians and he will take over the reigns next summer.
Bayern Munich chiefs decided to act as soon as they were informed by Pep Guardiola that he would not be extending his contract that was due to expire at the end of the season.
Former Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti was their first choice and the two sides quickly managed to reach an agreement.
The Italian was very keen on the job at Allianz Arena, but didn’t want to start negotiations until it was clear that Pep Guardiola would be leaving.
Despite enjoying plenty of success at Santiago Bernabeu, Ancelotti was surprisingly allowed to leave last summer, but Real Madrid chiefs have lived to regret their decision, with his replacement Rafael Benitez largely struggling to prove his worth.
