La Liga outfit Sevilla have announced that star striker Carlos Bacca has signed a new contract at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
The new deal also runs until June 2018 just like the previous one, with the buy-out clause remaining at €30 million, but the forward has seen his yearly salary seriously improved as he is now one of club’s highest earners.
According to AS, Bacca’s gross wage is around €3 million, with the player rewarded for his great form since joining the club from Club Brugge.
And with top European sides circling around the Colombia international, los Rojiblancos believe their latest move will ensure the 28-year-old remains at the club for at least a couple of years.
After scoring 14 league goals during his debut season, Bacca has already netted four times in six La Liga outings this season, and he should be in the starting line-up when Sevilla face HNK Rijeka in Europa League clash, where los Rojiblancos are 10/11 to claim maximum points.
