Sporting CP winger Carlos Mane could be leaving Estadio Jose Alvalade in the summer, according to his official representative.
The highly rated footballer long ago caught the eye of top European clubs and the Lions received several offers for his services in the winter.
They eventually decided to keep hold of Mane, although the 22-year-old has since struggled for playing time under Jorge Jesus.
As a result, the winger could decide to leave the Lions in the summer transfer window and his agent admits that is a realistic possibility.
“The future of Carlos (Mane) belongs to Sporting, since he has a contract until 2020,” agent Paulo Verissmo was quoted as saying in O Jogo. “The market will dictate where he will be next season.”
After impressing to score 6 goals in 29 league appearances last season, Mane has only made ten league outings this term, starting two of those games.
And with Manchester United, Juventus and Hamburg having previously shown interest in his services, the Portugal Under-21 international could be moving clubs in the coming months.
