Mexican defender Carlos Salcido has left Fulham to make a permanent switch to Tigres de la UANL, the English club have announced on their official website.
The Mexican club exercised the option to make the transfer permanent after the player initially joined the club on a season-long loan.
Salcido joined Fulham in a €2 million deal from PSV Eindhoven in August 2010 and he was considered a first team regular in his first season at a club.
However, the full-back asked the Fulham chiefs to be allowed to return home due to personal reasons, and Martin Jol let him complete a loan move to Tigres.
The two clubs have now agreed on a transfer fee to make the transfer permanent, with the deal confirmed on Fulham’s official website.
“The club would like to thank Carlos for his efforts during his time in SW6 and wishes him a successful future with Tigres de la UANL,” read a statement released on Fulham’s official website.
The Mexican international featured in 25 league games for Tigres, but failed to register a single goal.
