Argentine striker Carlos Tevez could be returning for a third spell at Boca Juniors, according to reports.
The world’s highest paid footballer finds himself in problems at Shanghai Shenhua, as head coach Wu Jingui have no intention of using the striker until he improves his physical shape.
Tevez returned to the club after recovering from injury in Argentina and his boss was largely disappointed with his star player being overweight.
This has sparked speculation that the forward could soon be leaving Chinese Super League and return to Boca Juniors.
La Xeneize chairman Daniel Angelici admits this is a possibility, but he is adamant it won’t be easy to close the deal.
“I do not know if he is coming, everybody is taking it for granted and I do not see it as being that easy,” Angelici told La Nacion.
“And I’ve talked to him. The Chinese are always difficult.”
Tevez has a year and a half left on his £600,000-a-week contract, and he has utterly failed to justify the heavy investment having scored mere 2 goals in 12 league appearances.
