Carney Chukwuemeka could leave Chelsea in the January transfer window, according to CaughtOffSide. Chukwuemeka is not part of the Chelsea first team at the moment, and it has been reported that the Blues could part company with him in the middle of the season, either on loan or on a permanent deal.
Chukwuemeka has been on the books of Chelsea since the summer of 2022 when he joined from Aston Villa. The former England Under-20 international, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, had a very strong reputation at Villa, but he has struggled to make an impact at Chelsea so far.
The youngster has played just 14 minutes in the Carabao Cup for Chelsea so far this season. Chukwuemeka made two starts and seven substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Blues last season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process. Chelsea are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
