Carrick in line for new United deal

Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick is set to pledge his future to the Red Devils, reports Metro.

The England international has less than a year left on his deal at Old Trafford, which has led to speculations linking him with a move away from the club.

However, Metro has revealed that the 32-year-old is set to sign a two-year extension until June 2016.

According to the same source, Carrick will continue to earn £75,000 per week, with the club hoping he will eventually end his playing days at Old Trafford.

Michael Carrick has been one of the most underrated players at Old Trafford over the past few years, but he has finally started receiving the recognition he deserves.

The experienced midfielder was even one of six contenders for PFA Player of the Year award last season and he has continued with impressive displays for both club and country this term.
