Michael Carrick is keen to remain at Manchester United despite interest from elsewhere, according to ESPN.
Leicester City, West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa are all interested in signing the former England international, who has barely featured for the Red Devils this season.
The thirty-six year old’s only appearance so far came in the 4-1 EFL Cup victory over Burton Albion though he has missed the last six weeks through injury.
Carrick was named as United’s club captain in the summer following Wayne Rooney’s move to Everton, though he finds himself behind Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera in the pecking order.
He is in the final year of his current contract and is coaching the U14’s as he prepares for life after his playing career, during which he has won five league titles, the FA Cup, League Cup, Europa League and Champions League with the Red Devils and won thirty-four caps for his country.
