Former Swansea City manager Carlos Carvalhal has confirmed in a recent interview with Sky Sports that he wants to return to English football for his next job in management. The 52 year old left the Swans earlier this year after initially spending two years with Sheffield Wednesday, and he appears to be determined to remain in England as opposed to going abroad.
Carlos had mixed fortunes over here and has had mixed fortunes throughout the entirety of his managerial career, in truth, but he’s shown signs of brilliance from time to time – although consistency has almost certainly alluded him.
It’ll be interesting to see whether or not any teams give Carvalhal the time of day, because it does seem like his style could work quite well for a series of different Championship sides. It remains to be seen, however, as to whether or not he wants to drop back down to the second tier.
