Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is believed to be readying a major summer overhaul which would involve spending as much as £115 million on three players that have already been identified as top transfer targets.
According to the British tabloid The Sun, Manchester City are ready to splash out to bring the Portugal star Carvalho, Southampton left-back Ryan Bertrand and Middlesbrough captain Ben Gibson.
Sporting Lisbon holding midfielder has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, but the long-term Arsenal target is this time being linked with a £60 million move to Etihad as a potential replacement for Yaya Toure, who is widely expected to leave City this summer.

Manchester City have struggled in the back thus far in the season as Guardiola has in a number of occasions been forced to play left-back Aleksandar Kolarov out of position and in the centre of defence.
The Serbian has enjoyed some solid performances in his unnatural position, but Guardiola is looking for long-term solutions.
