Italian newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport reports that Milan could make a January move for Real Madrid defender Ricardo Carvalho.
The Rossoneri are eager to reinforce the back line in the winter and they believe the veteran defender would be a good short-term solution for their defensive crisis.
Ricardo Carvalho is now considered a fifth-choice central defender at Santiago Bernabeu and is heavily tipped to leave the club in the next transfer window.
He has been informed that his contract will not be renewed at the end of the season, but the Portuguese will also be available at a cut-back price in January.
Milan, however, hope they can persuade Real Madrid officials to cancel the player’s contract six months before it is due to expire to that the Rossoneri could sign him on a free transfer.
Ricardo Carvalho has only made two Copa del Rey appearances for los Blancos this season.
