According to a report from Marca, Kiko Casilla is on the verge of completing his move to English football. The Real Madrid goalkeeper is close to joining Leeds United, who are currently in pole position to gain promotion from the Championship to the Premier League. Casilla is believed to be their first choice and would continue to be so throughout the course of their stay in the top flight, if they do indeed gain promotion.
Fraser Forster and Emiliano Martinez are two other names who have been linked with a move to Leeds, but Casilla is certainly the frontrunner.
The 32 year old has been with Real since back in 2015, but he’s been used pretty sporadically in that time. He made a name for himself during an eight year spell with Espanyol, before being bought back by the Spanish giants. Now, though, he clearly wants to go in search of first team football.
