Santi Cazorla has revealed that Arsenal are keen on agreeing a deal for Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas, the Express understands.
The World Cup winning captain has fallen out of favour at the Bernabeu over the past two seasons, with his last league appearance coming in a 5-0 win over Valencia fifteen months ago, losing his place to Diego Lopez, though he has remained as first choice in the Copa Del Rey a and the Champions League.
The 32 year old has been with Real for his entire career, and has won a host of club and international honours since making his debut in 1999.
He kept goal in his side’s 2-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in Europe’s top competition yesterday evening, though the Spanish giants qualified for the last four after winning the tie 3-2 on aggregate.
