Iker Casillas will consider a move to Arsenal if his playing opportunities don’t improve at Real Madrid, TalkSport understands.
The Spain international, who captained his country to three successive tournament successes in ’08, ’10 and ’12 has been limited to appearances in the Champions League and the Copa Del Rey this season with Diego Lopez established as the club’s first choice in La Liga.
The 32 year old, who has spent his entire career with Real, had previously expressed his desire to remain with the club, though it is believed his stance is changing in news that is sure to alert the Premier League leaders.
After failing to bring in a new shot stopper in the summer, Poland international Wojciech Szczcesny has been in fine form as the Gunners have taken the top flight by storm, though the opportunity to bring in someone of Casillas’ class may be too tempting to turn down.
