Italian forward Antonio Cassano has revealed that he has received three official proposals as he continues to search for a new club.
The 32-year-old has been a free agent since leaving Parma at the end of January, and it looks as though he will have no shortage of offers in the summer transfer window.
However, while Cassano hopes to remain in Italian Serie A, he has so far received proposals from Olympiakos, Sporting Lisbon and Atletico Mineiro.
“I have had proposals from Olympiakos, Sporting and Atletico Mineiro, but I am still waiting for a call from Italy to return to play again in the country,” the forward told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
His former club Sampdoria appear to be interested, with chairman Massimo Ferrero recently suggesting he would attempt to lure Cassano back to the club, but the Blucerchiati are probably waiting for the season to end before making a move on their former player.
Having scored 17 goals in 53 league outings for Parma, the former Italy international appears to still have several good years ahead of him and clubs from Italian Serie A are expected to join the race in the coming weeks.
