Castillejo & Bacca swap nearly complete

Samu Castillejo has been spotted in Italy as he prepares to complete his medical prior to his AC Milan switch. The 23-year-old’s move is expected to be made official over the course of the next few hours, and as a direct result, Carlos Bacca will be returning to Villarreal. Bacca was on loan at the Spanish club last year and in that time, he managed to rediscover the form that initially put the forward on the map.

The 31-year-old will be attempting to keep the ball rolling for Villarreal, as they go in search of an improved finish in La Liga this season following a successful campaign last year. Castillejo, on the other hand, has his sights firmly set on making a name for himself in Italian football. He’ll be aiming to do so with a Milan team that have been performing below expectations in Serie A for quite some time now.
