Steven Caulker says Swansea City can be proud of their home record, despite suffering a rare defeat to Norwich City on Saturday.
Brendan Rodgers’ men lost 3-2 to Norwich on Saturday, just Swansea’s second defeat at home this season, with the other coming against reigning champions Manchester United.
Swansea have made the Liberty Stadium a fortress, and Caulker believes the record is still impressive, despite last weekend’s slip-up.
“After the game the boys were all very quiet in the changing room, which is only natural,” he told the club’s website.
“We were very disappointed with the result. But the gaffer reminded us that we had only lost two at home all season, which is a tremendous achievement.”
“I don’t think we should let ourselves forget about the record we have at home. We have done very well. We won’t let ourselves get down too much.”
Swansea do not play again until February 26 when they face Stoke City, and Rodgers has used the break in matches as an opportunity to go on a warm-weather training camp.
Caulker, on loan at the club from Tottenham Hotspur, is in Tenerife with the rest of the squad as Swansea look to recharge their batteries.
“Being in Tenerife will allow us to look ahead and prepare for the Stoke game,” he said.
“A change of scenery and weather will be good for us and we are looking forward to going to Stoke and getting a result.”
Swansea have gained high praise for their passing game, losing only two of their last nine outings in the Premier League.
