Radio Monte Carlo has suggested that Napoli striker Edinson Cavani has agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain.
According to the same source, the two sides have negotiated a four-year deal worth €8.5 million per campaign with an option for another year.
It is now up to the two clubs to agree on the transfer fee, with Napoli referring the Saints to the €63 million release clause.
It is believed that Cavani’s former teammate Ezequiel Lavezzi has helped persuade the Uruguayan to join him at Parc des Princes.
PSG, therefore, seem prepared to splash the cash on the highly rated attacker, although they will attempt to lower the asking price.
Edinson Cavani, 26, has been in amazing form over the last three seasons, scoring a total of 72 goals in 100 Serie A appearances.
He is again topping the goalscoring charts this term, having bagged 23 goals in 30 league matches.
