It’s been an impressive season so far for Palermo striker Edinson Cavani, who scored his 10th goal of the campaign on Sunday against Lecce. Surprisingly enough, he also scored his first brace since his arrival in Italy in 2006. The 22-year-old Uruguayan talked about the emotions he went through on Sunday.
“How did I celebrate my first brace? First of all by thanking God,” he said. “Then, I talked to Abel Hernandez, who was making his debut, and we went to dinner together. I am happy. My wife and I both wanted me to score a brace, we were praying a lot and she told me before this match: ‘I am convinced you will score a brace.’ We continued to pray, as we always do, so first of all I have to thank God, for this great feeling I got when I scored a brace. It was a wonderful feeling”.
