Edinson Cavani of Paris Saint-Germain is not interested in joining Inter Miami in the near future, according to L’Equipe. The French outlet claim that the 31-year-old striker was contacted by David Beckam’s newly established Major League Soccer venture as they aimed to make the Uruguay international their first big-name signing, but he wasn’t interested in the move.
Cavani, who has been a PSG player since 2013 when he arrived from Napoli, but having made 284 appearances and scored 195 goals for the Ligue 1 champions, he is yet to play since August 25th when he was substituted 14 minutes into the 4-0 win over Toulouse due to a hip injury. He sat out the 1-4 away win over OGC Nice on Friday on the bench as he works his way back to full fitness.
The striker has been linked with departure from the club for a while, and clubs such as Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Napoli have reportedly been watching the situation closely.
