Cavani wants Barcelona switch

According to a recent report from The Times, Edinson Cavani is eager to join Barcelona at the end of the season.

There’s a great deal of speculation surrounding the Uruguay forward and where he’s going to go from here, as you may expect. The 34-year-old’s deal with Manchester United is set to expire at the end of the campaign after he agreed to just a one-year extension last summer.

He’s struggling for consistent time in the first team and while Ralf Rangnick may change that, it still feels as if he’s fairly low down in the pecking order as a result of how deep United’s attacking options are.

Barca are ready to make a solid offer to ensure he spends the final few years of his twilight at the Nou Camp, and you’d have to think United would be happy to let him go given what they already have at their disposal.
