Cavani wants Palermo stay

Palermo striker Edinson Cavani has admitted he would like to stay with the Italian side this summer.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks.

“At the beginning of this year I thought about going away because of a misunderstanding,” Cavani told Il Palermo.

“I wanted a change so I would be able to get back in form. Luckily everything came to be clarified and now I am happy to play for Palermo.

“As for me, I can say that I will stay, but if the club were to decide to sell me, I would not be opposed to their decision,” he said.
