Cavani’s agent denies Manchester United contact

The agent of Napoli striker Edison Cavani has moved to deny speculations linking his client with a move to Manchester United.

The Uruguayan striker has been linked to numerous clubs following his impressive showings last season.

However, his agent has revealed that there is no truth in rumours linking the forward with a move to Old Trafford.

“This is the time of year when it is normal to hear talk of transfers to big clubs for astronomical fees,” Claudio Anellucci told Radio Sportiva.

“The majority of the time there is nothing to them, as is the case with regards to a possible move to Manchester United for Edinson.”
