Cazorla and Ramsey set for new deals

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Santi Cazorla and Aaron Ramsey are both close to signing new deals with the club, according to ESPN.

Per Mertersacker and Tomas Rosicky extended their deals last week, and now the Spain and Wales internationals look set to follow suit.

Ramsey last renewed his terms with the club back in December 2012, alongside fellow young internationals Kieran Gibbs, Carl Jenkinson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jack Wilshere, and was arguably the club’s player of the season before he picked up a thigh injury back in December.

Cazorla, who arrived at the club from Malaga ahead of the 2012/13 campaign, is also set to be rewarded for his fine form.

Saturday afternoon’s FA Cup quarter final against Everton will come too soon for Ramsey to feature, but Cazorla can be backed at 9/1 to open the scoring with what would be his seventh goal of the season.
