According to a recent report from Calciomercato, AC Milan attempted to sign Dani Ceballos during the recent summer transfer window but did not want to pay the necessary loan fee in order to get the deal over the finish line. At the time he was playing for Real Madrid, before deciding that a switch to Arsenal would be the best move for his career. In the early stage of the season Ceballos has been able to prove himself as an entertaining, exciting and very capable midfield star, which could bode incredibly well for the Gunners in the long run.
Unai Emery will want to sign Ceballos on a permanent deal at the first available opportunity, especially based on what he’s been able to produce up to this point. AC Milan, on the other hand, probably won’t get a better opportunity to sign him and will likely end up rueing their missed chance.
