Dani Ceballos is aware he is going to have to leave Real Madrid this summer if Zinedine Zidane remains in charge of the team for next season, according to Marca.
The midfielder never really got a proper chance to fight for his place in the team at the Santiago Bernabeu, being on Real’s books for three years now. Last summer he joined Arsenal on a season-long loan as the Gunners aimed to end the season by qualifying for the Champions League, but though his performances haven’t been bad at all, he hasn’t been able to help them get there. After the defeat away to Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday, their chances of achieving their goal are practically non-existent.
Ceballos will remain in north London for the rest of the Premier League season and is scheduled to return to Madrid in August, the same month he turns 24. He wants to be important for the team if he is to play for Real again, and he knows that won’t be the case as long as Zidane is pulling the strings.
Valencia are reportedly interested in signing him.
