Sporting Lisbon full-back Cedric Soares appears destined for a summer move to Germany with another Bundesliga club having expressed interest in his services.
The 23-year-old has just over a year left on his deal at Estadio Jose Alvalade and seeing as he has failed to agree a new contract, a summer exit appears on the cards.
The likes of Bayer Leverkusen, Schalke and Hoffenheim had earlier shown interest in the Portugal international, but A Bola reports that Wolfsburg have joined the chase as well.
In lack of better options, the Wolves have used winger Vieirinha at right-back this term and they appear eager to lure Cedric to Volkswagen Arena.
Wolfsburg scouts have watched the defender in action over the last few weeks and the Bundesliga side could soon come forward with an official bid.
Cedric Soares has spent his entire career up to date at Sporting Lisbon, making 65 league appearances for the Lions.
