Spanish La Liga outfit Celta Vigo have moved to confirm that Atletico Madrid have been showing interest in Serbian midfielder Nemanja Radoja.
Los Colchoneros appear to see the 24-year-old as a good long-term successor to captain Gabi, who is nearing the final stage of his career.
Celta Vigo sporting director Felipe Minambres has now confirmed the interest, albeit making it clear there has been no formal offer as of yet.
Radoja has another two years left on his deal at Balaidos and the club are trying to agree a contract extension with his representatives.
The Serbia international has fared admirably since joining the club from Vojvodina, going on to make 91 La Liga appearances.
