Spanish La Liga outfit Celta Vigo are considering a summer move for Benfica midfielder Andre Almeida, Record has learned.
The Sky Blues failed in their attempt to recruit the talented footballer last summer, but they seem to have now rekindled their interest.
According to the latest reports, Celta Vigo are expected to make a fresh proposal for the player’s services in the coming months.
Andre Almeida is a very versatile footballer who can operate as a left-back, right-back and defensive midfielder, and he is regarded an important member of the squad at Estadio da Luz.
And with his current contract not due to expire before June 2019, Celta Vigo will have to delve deep into their pockets if they want to add the 24-year-old to their ranks.
Andre Almeida joined Benfica from Belenenses in the summer of 2011 and has since made 43 league appearances while featuring in 27 European fixtures.
