(GSM) – Interim Celtic manager Neil Lennon was delighted with his squad’s team spirit against Dundee United.
Celtic’s Diomansy Kamara and Robbie Keane scored the goals in a 2-0 win, their fifth in a row, at Tannadice that secured second place in the SPL table as they are now ten points clear of United with three games to go.
Lennon was particularly delighted with the character shown by his players and reserved special praise for midfielders Scott Brown and Landry N’Guemo.
“I like the balance of having a bit of dig with entertainment, going away from home and earning the right to play football,” boss said.
“I saw a team out there working for each other.
“There was a wee melee and all the players were in there. I don’t mind that, we don’t want to be intimidated any more.
Lennon also hailed Brown and NGuemo for the fantastic display, “I thought we were different class and good value for the money. Brown was awesome and NGuemo was fantastic.
“Some of the football was magnificent and it was wonderful result.
“To finish second and to keep winning games was important,” he confidently said.
