Celtic have captured Polish striker Pawel Brozek on loan from Trabzonspor, the Scottish giants have confirmed on their official website.
The 28-year-old has joined the Bhoys on loan until the end of the season, and the Scottish club have the option to make the transfer permanent.
Celtic produced quite a coup by signing the highly rated forward seeing that their arch rivals Rangers were also keen on the Pole.
The player, who will be officially presented on the final day of the January transfer window, reveals he opted for Celtic after his Poland teammates spoke highly of the Parkhead outfit.
“I’m very happy because Celtic were very determined to sign me and it didn’t take a long time,” Brozek told club’s official website.
“I spoke with Lukasz Zaluska and Maciej Zurawski and they said only positive things about the club so when I heard there was an offer from Celtic I wanted to go straight away.”
Brozek started his professional career at Wisla Krakow and went on to play almost 180 league games for the Polish giants before joining Trabzonspor in January 2011.
However, the player was unable to establish himself as a first team regular at Trabzon and managed to score just 3 goals in 19 league outings for the club.
