Celtic are on the verge of signing French defender Steven Mouyokolo, according to manager Neil Lennon.
The former Hull and Wolves player has been a long-term target for Lennon and has recently been on trial at the club.
Now Lennon has confirmed that a deal for the centre-back is not far from being completed – although the SPL champions will first wait on the results of a medical after the Frenchman suffered a serious knee injury while on loan at Sochaux in 2012.
“We have liked Mouyokolo for a long time,” Lennon told The Daily Record.
“He’s had a few injury problems but has come on trial and impressed.
“Things have been agreed more or less. He’s done a medical and we’re just waiting on the reports coming back and if everything is okay, we’ll go ahead with it.”
