Celtic were held to a 1-1 draw by Motherwell on Sunday and failed to move back into first place. Arch rivals Rangers now lead on goal record.

Rangers had already beaten Kilmarnock 3-1 on Saturday and pressure was on Celtic to keep up.

The Bhoys did score the opening goal at Motherwell, as Scott McDonald beat keeper Smith on the hour mark, but Paul Quinn equalised for the hosts with just nine minutes to go.

After 26 games Rangers and Celtic both have 57 points but Rangers have a much better goal record.
