Celtic linked with Ugurcan Cakir

Celtic are interested in signing Ugurcan Cakir from Trabzonspor in the summer transfer window, according to HITC. The report has claimed that Celtic, who won the Scottish Premiership title last season, are looking for a new goalkeeper and have identified Cakir as a potential target.

Joe Hart is the number one goalkeeper for Celtic at the moment, but the former Manchester City star has announced that he will retire at the end of the season. So, the Hoops are on the hunt for a new goalkeeper and have shown an interest in Cakir.

Cakir has been on the books of Trabzonspor since 2012 and has come through the Turkish club’s youth system and is now one of the best goalkeepers in the Turkish Super Lig. He has made 26 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig so far this season. Trabzonspor are third in the Turkish Super Lig table at the moment with 46 points from 27 matches.
